The Healthy Schools – Local Planning and Implementation funding opportunity will provide up to 2 years of funding to eligible entities to develop and implement comprehensive health and wellness plans that will bring health in reach for Colorado youth. School districts, groups of districts, groups of charter schools, BOCES or local community partners acting on behalf of districts are all eligible to apply. Funding will support rural or frontier and/or high-need (50% or more of students are free or reduced-price lunch eligible) districts/charters. Applicants may see either planning and implementation funding (combined) or just implementation funding if a comprehensive plan is already in place. Deadlines are Feb. 15, June 15, and Oct. 15.
