Introduction & Objectives - Fitness Trek Day
Fitness Trek Day is a special activity that allows students to track their fitness progress over an extended period of time. It is a quick, formative assessment tool used to gather individualized cardiovascular efficiency, abdominal and upper-body strength and endurance information. Personal results can be compared to health-related standards found in the CATCH PE Guidebook. Through self-monitoring, students develop confidence, set achievement goals, and target improvement.
In this activity students will:
- Monitor and understand their individual fitness progress.
- Set individual activity goals and strive to achieve them.
- Enjoy being physically active.
