Introduction & Objectives
CARDIOVASCULAR EFFICIENCY activities are designed to increase the heart rate and subsequently develop a more efficient capacity to endure moderate-to-vigorous physical activity. Teaching Cardiovascular Efficiency activities in a fun, enjoyable, and non-competitive environment will create positive attitudes toward fitness and subsequently promote a lifetime of physical activity. Emphasis on active participation and improving individual past performance are essential in developing competence and confidence.
This section will:
- Develop and maintain adequate levels of cardiovascular fitness.
- Promote and encourage physical activity at home and in the community.
- Advocate the enjoyment of being physically active.
