Parachute Activities and Games
Parachute Activities may be used as warm-ups, quick cardio and aerobic games, and cooperative activities. Contrary to what many might think, your students in middle school will continue to enjoy using this piece of equipment to supplement their game play.
Introduction & Objectives - Parachute
Spinning Wheel - #83
Students spin with a parachute at various speeds.
Interval Running - #84
Students run in a circle holding a parachute, and, on signal, run to meet students holding a specified color of the parachute.
Popcorn - #85
Students pretend to pop "popcorn" (yard, beach balls, etc.) on top of a parachute.
Shark - #86
A few students pretend to be "sharks" under a parachute. Students' whose ankles are grabbed by the sharks must switch places with them.
Cat and Mouse - #87
One student (the "cat") tries to tag another (the "mouse") while they are hidden under a shaken parachute.
