Alexia Frometa obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Florida. She is currently a second-year dual degree graduate student pursing her masters in Public Health and in Social Work at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and University of Houston, respectively. She is interested in the intersection between these two fields, specifically the effects of social and systemic factors on states of physical and mental health. Alexia’s experience facilitating classes for youth in schools has led her to CATCH where she will help with program evaluation as a student intern. In her free time, Alexia enjoys practicing yoga, walking, and cooking dishes from her family’s home country of Cuba.
