Sharon works with the CATCH Global Foundation to communicate its strengths and the Amazon #1 best-selling book “When are We Going to Teach Health?” written by founder and CEO, Duncan.
With a broad communications and marketing skill set and more than 25 years of experience, Sharon has turned her focus to public health outreach work since 2018, seeking to expand its reach and prominence. Recently she was the communications lead for Texas Health and Human Services on Texas WIC, developing the Healthy Texas Kids YouTube channel, videos and editing all WIC-client facing digital and print materials. She has developed health care communications, public relations and outreach materials since 2012, including in the speciality areas of oncology, oral surgery and urology to name a few.
Sharon is pursuing a masters in public health degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center with a keen interest in maternal and child health and health promotion. She holds a MBA from Chapman University (Orange, CA) and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Originally from New York City, she’s raising three healthy Texans and active in their elementary and middle schools, serving as a PTA volunteer and advisory council member.
