Kindergarten Classroom Curriculum – Jump Into Health!
Using a variety of teaching strategies, the kindergarten curriculum introduces students to cartoon characters to teach students about eating and physical activity habits to promote health.

Lesson 1: Being Healthy is Fun!
Students will be introduced to the Jump Into Health! program.
Lesson 2: GO Foods
Students will identify GO foods as healthy foods.
Lesson 3: Jumping Jacki and Gus Goodfood Love Vegetables!
Students will identify vegetables, including some that may be unfamiliar.
Lesson 4: Roots and Stems and Other Parts of Plants
Students will identify vegetables as different parts of plants.
Lesson 5: Let’s Eat Some Vegetables!
Students will prepare a healthy snack.
Lesson 6: Moving to a Beat
Students learn how oxygen is the energy their muscles use to move.
Lesson 7: GO Activities Are Fun Anywhere!
Students will identify how much they should do GO activities.
Lesson 8: Colorful Fruits
Students will identify fruits, including some that may be unfamiliar.
Lesson 9: Delicious Fresh Fruit
Students will identify fresh fruits as healthier choices than fruit juices.
Lesson 10: Tricky Drinks/Program Wrap-Up
Students will distinguish between 100% fruit juices and fruit-flavored drinks.
