The youth vaping epidemic is not being ignored
Middle and high school youth in West Virginia are reporting a significantly higher rate of e-cigarette use, surpassing the national average. In response, Governor Jim Justice along with public health partners have taken a proactive stance to safeguard the health and well-being of the state’s youth.
In full support of educators and this statewide initiative, the CATCH My Breath team delivered an in-person Train-the-Trainer session at the West Virginia SHAPE Conference. This training equipped educators with the tools to prevent youth from vaping as well as allowing them to facilitate an implementation training with other educators about the CATCH My Breath program. We had the privilege of speaking with three remarkable health educators — Amber, Mark, and Heather — about the transformative impact of their training experience. Listen to what they have to say.
