Jacqueline is the Brighter Bites Program Manager of Nutrition Education and has been part of the Brighter Bites team since September 2014.  In her role, she leads the Dallas team’s overall nutrition education efforts. In collaboration with members of Brighter Bites’ CATCH Working Group, Jacqueline developed the Brighter Bites school action plans around Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) and other child focused education tools, as well as the accountability tools and data collection metrics to track progress.  Additionally, Jacqueline manages the Brighter Bites program implementation at numerous sites each year, and each week manages Brighter Bites Associates, recruits parent and community volunteers, and engages with Brighter Bites families.

As a result of her work with CATCH, Jacqueline has been selected by the CATCH Team (University of Texas School of Public Health, Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living and CATCH Global Foundation) as a CATCH Texas Champion for 2016.

Prior to Brighter Bites, Jacqueline’s work focused on nutrition education in the healthcare setting. Jaqueline’s passion for nutrition, appreciation for cultural diversity, and her love for working with children are reflected in her commitment to the development of Brighter Bites communities. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Food Nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University.
