Marcie Kirschner is an ORISE Fellow in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity (DNPAO) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Marcie has a Masters in Public Health from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health an a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing, both from the University of Texas at Austin. Marcie was a member of the first graduating class to receive a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from UT Austin. Marcie has been with CDC since 2015 and works mostly on policy and partnerships work for DNPAO in addition to special projects. Marcie has also worked in the Zika Emergency Operations Center at CDC. Marcie is also a Certified Health Education Specialist. Although Marcie was born and raised in Austin, TX, she now lives in Atlanta, GA.
