Sonia Noriega

Sonia Noriega is the the Lead Teacher for Health and Physical Education for the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) in El Paso, TX. She was born and raised in El Paso where she still resides. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso where she received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in education in 1998.

That same year, she began her teaching career at Rio Bravo Middle School (YISD).  There she taught 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade health and physical education for three years.  In 2001 she transferred to Ascarate Elementary (YISD) where she taught K-6 physical education for 8 years.  In January of 2009, she was hired as the Lead Teacher for Health and Physical Education for YISD.
