More About the “Clearing the Air” Be Vape Free Virtual Field Trip
Join schools across Mississippi on April 1, 2021 for a real-world virtual learning opportunity to get the facts on the vaping epidemic, as part of Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action. Through the “Clearing the Air” Be Vape Free Virtual Field Trip, students will gain powerful insights as several teenagers share their firsthand experiences of successfully avoiding e-cigarettes, learn how to think critically about everyday influences like advertising and social media, pick up effective refusal skills and debunk common myths with a health professional.
The VFT video is ~18 minutes long (you can preview the full VFT above). After watching the VFT as a class or as an asynchronous assignment, join us on Twitter using the hashtag #TakeDownTobaccoMS to participate in an online discussion starting at 12:00 PM on April 1st and share your students’ thoughts and questions with our panel of experts.
Feel free to submit questions/comments as videos as well! We’ll be following the hashtag all afternoon on the 1st. Register your class before the event by filling out the form below, and don’t forget to tell parents about this important learning opportunity.
Once registered, you will receive a link that you can share with students and parents to view the VFT on any web browser or from a smartphone! By registering, you will also receive the Educator Guide which includes some optional pre- and post-field trip activities for your class.
