CATCH Trainer Certifications
CATCH IMPLEMENTER
Requirements:
- Attends & participates in a 1-day CATCH Training (e.g., CATCH Early Childhood, CATCH Kids Club, CATCH PE, CATCH Coordination Kit).
- Implements CATCH at their site/school.
CATCH COMMUNITY TRAINER
Requirements:
- Must attend and satisfactorily complete a 3-day CATCH Academy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced CATCH Implementer in the specific CATCH Program they are being trained as a trainer in prior to attending an Academy.
Conditions:
- CATCH Community Trainers are only certified to train teachers and/or staff, but not other trainers.
- CATCH Community Trainers are not permitted to conduct any CATCH trainings outside of the scope of the specific CATCH Program in which they were trained.
- CATCH Community Trainers are certified to train for a period of one year.
Note: Community Trainers may be re-certified by submitting required documentation to the CATCH Global Foundation Training Manager and/or attending and successfully completing a CATCH Booster Academy. -
CATCH Community Trainers may only schedule, plan and conduct CATCH Trainings within the community/region/district they were trained or are employed.
Note: The parameters of “community” and “region” will be discussed and agreed upon by the CATCH Global Foundation. - CATCH Community Trainers may not schedule, plan or conduct CATCH Trainings outside the community/region/district in which they are trained without written permission or by invitation from the CATCH Global Foundation or from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
- CATCH Community Trainers may not accept compensation from anyone who is not their employer to conduct CATCH Trainings.
- All training presentation and materials displaying the CATCH logos are copyrighted materials and may not be reproduced in any form without express written permission from the CATCH Global Foundation or from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
CATCH COMMUNITY MASTER TRAINER
Requirements:
- Meet/exceed basic requirements for becoming a CATCH Community Trainer.
- Attend and participate in a 1-day CATCH Training.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete a 3-day CATCH Training Academy.
- Conduct at least 2 CATCH Trainings within a 1-year period and receive positive feedback on training evaluations.
- Conduct at least one CATCH Training in the presence of a CATCH Master Trainer and meet/exceed trainer expectations.
- Observe and assist a CATCH National Trainer or CATCH Master Trainer in conducting a CATCH Training.
- Assist a CATCH Master Trainer in conducting a CATCH Training Academy and meet/exceed trainer expectations.
- Conduct a CATCH Training Academy in the presence of a CATCH Master Trainer and meet/exceed trainer expectations.
- A prospective CATCH Master Trainer must receive marks of Proficient or Exceeds Expectations in all categories during a CATCH Training and CATCH Training Academy in order to become a CATCH Community Master Trainer.
Conditions:
- CATCH Community Master Trainers are certified to train individuals to become CATCH Community Trainers within the within the community/region/district they were trained or are employed.
- CATCH Community Trainers trained by CATCH Community Master Trainers are bound by the same conditions of a CATCH Community Trainer stated previously.
- CATCH Community Master Trainers must have all CATCH Community Trainers complete the CATCH Community Trainer Agreement and submit signed Agreements to the CATCH Global Foundation Training Manager.
- CATCH Community Master Trainers are not permitted to conduct any CATCH trainings outside of the scope of the specific CATCH Program in which they were trained.
- CATCH Community Master Trainers must conduct at least one CATCH Training Academy per year.
- CATCH Community Master Trainers are certified to train for a period of one year.
Note: Community Master Trainers may be re-certified by submitting required documentation to the CATCH Global Foundation Training Manager and/or conducting a CATCH Training Academy in the presence of a CATCH Master Training and meet/exceed trainer expectations.
CATCH NATIONAL TRAINER
Requirements:
- Must attend and satisfactorily complete a 3-day CATCH Academy.
- Must be invited by CATCH Global Foundation Training Manager to become a prospective CATCH National Trainer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced CATCH Implementer in the specific CATCH Program in which they are trained as a trainer.
Conditions:
- CATCH National Trainers must sign and abide by the CATCH Global Trainer Contract.
- CATCH National Trainers may not conduct CATCH Trainings without written permission or invitation from CATCH Global Foundation.
- CATCH National Trainers are only certified to train teachers and/or staff, but not other trainers.
- CATCH National Trainers are not permitted to conduct any CATCH trainings outside of the scope of the specific CATCH Program in which they were trained as a trainer.
- CATCH National Trainers are certified to train for a period of one year.
Note: National Trainers may be re-certified by: (1) Conducing at least two CATCH Trainings a year and receiving positive feedback on training evaluations. And (2) Adhering to the conditions set forth in the CATCH Global Trainer Contract. - CATCH National Trainers may not accept compensation from anyone except CATCH Global Foundation to conduct CATCH Trainings.
