Pathways to Health: Techniques for Combining Health and PE Instruction

Convention Center 207A • Thursday, March 22 • 1:45PM- 3:00PM
John Krampitz, CATCH Master Trainer

Health education in public schools is increasingly being shifted from the classroom to the gym. With large class sizes that meet every other or third day, PE teachers are challenged to meet PE learning standards and also teach the health curriculum. This session will demonstrate multiple instructional, management and supervisory techniques that integrate health concepts into PE instructional time for classes large and small. Active assessment techniques will also be addressed.
