Following a 20 year career at Norfolk Southern Corporation (NSC) Colin retired in 2021. In his most recent position as Assistant Vice-President Compensation and Benefits, he was responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization’s compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, short and long-term incentive pay, health and welfare benefits, and retirement benefits. Prior to this, Colin lead the Corporate Accounting Department at NSC, with experience in SEC financial reporting, accounting practices and guidelines, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and debt issuance. His other roles at NSC included Director Corporate Accounting and Director Accounting Research and Analysis.
Before joining NSC, Colin was Regional Controller for the Southeast Region of McDonald’s Corporation. He was also a manager with KPMG working in both the audit and tax practices – with experience in reviews, audits, financial analyses and domestic and international tax issues. He holds an MBA from the College of William & Mary and received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Old Dominion University.
