Gina was born in Bogotá, Colombia where she has spent the majority of her professional career working as a primary school teacher in various institutions in the private sector and the Universidad Nacional de Bogotá. She began working for CATCH eight years ago as a translator after finishing a contract working as a bilingual teacher in Austin Texas. Shortly afterward, she became part of the team. She qualified from Universidad San Buenaventura Bogotá with a Bachelor of English Language and recently completed a Master’s degree in Child Development at the prestigious Universidad de La Sabana, Cundinamarca. As a dedicated educator and translator with 20 years of experience, she has been exposed to many facets of education in Colombia. She is passionate about childhood development and practices that improve children’s lifestyles and well-being in her home country.
In her own time, Gina enjoys being with friends, family, and her two cats, catching up on the latest literature in English and Spanish with a strong black coffee, and traveling with her husband.
