As the Program Engagement & Evaluation Specialist, Joanna will measure and assess educator engagement, satisfaction, and student outcomes, and use this data to drive continual improvement of CATCH programs. Joanna obtained a B.A. from The College of New Jersey in Sociology with a concentration in Environmental Studies. After graduating, Joanna moved from New Jersey to southeast Florida to serve two years with AmeriCorps VISTA at a day labor center and then a community health initiative. For the last 5 years Joanna led a community health initiative focused on healthy eating and active living where she found her passion for data, engagement, and health promotion. She helped to grow the initiative’s work in physical activity promotion, including a Couch to 5K Training Program and active transportation projects. In her free time, Joanna loves walking, local produce, thrift shopping, volunteering, and hanging with her rescue cat, Birdie.
