This weekend is not only when we celebrate Memorial Day, but is the last weekend of Skin Cancer Awareness Month!

What better weekend to make sure we’re treating our skin with the care and caution it deserves? Be sure to protect your skin while you’re out in the sun this weekend. One in five people will get skin cancer in their lifetime, and people of all different skin tones can contract melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer! There are many ways to protect your skin. If you haven’t yet, find out how CATCH can help protect your preschoolers.

Today, our blog focuses on key tips regarding sunscreen (source: The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Cancerwise Blog). We’ve created a handout with some tips to keep in mind when applying sunscreen!

See an internet version below, or download this helpful PDF to hang in your home, classroom, or break room! Remember that one of the ways to positively alter a child’s learning environment is to model good sun safety behaviors through your own actions!
