Priscila Garza is the Implementation Specialist at CATCH Global Foundation. She recently finished school at The University of Texas School of Public Health in Austin with a Doctorate of Public Health in Health Promotion & Health Education. Previously, Priscila was an educator in Baytown, Texas. She was a classroom teacher for four years before entering the role as Goose Creek CISD’s first Healthy Community School Coordinator. In her role, she created CATCH Teams at 22 elementary and middle schools including an alternative center. She worked closely with each CATCH Champion and provided them the tools to be successful during their first years of implementing a Whole Child health program. She also served as the liaison between the school district and Be Well Baytown, an initiative of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center sponsored by ExxonMobil. Priscila served on the Baytown YMCA Board of Directors for two years. She also served as the United Way of Greater Baytown area and Chambers County Emerging Leaders Chair in 2019/20.
